o.k. gonna give it a shot...

the concept is these critters lug around a tent/city sled of nomadic desert dwellers....kind of a cross between a catapilllar and those things in "Tremors" (Kevin Bacon's best movie ever!!!)

originally found in marsh land, they were found to be excellent travellers.. (and strong as sh#t) when the rains stopped and they had to find new lands to live in, but that was a long time ago.....

they only problem they posed was their attitude.... nasty, mean and downright viscious....but this was cured by "saning" them, a practice where their optic nerves were severed and auditory canals mutilated leaving them both blind and deaf....

in return for hauling around this tribe, he is fed the carion of those his captures leave in their wake.

I like this idea. Looks like a sandworm? Some Dune style?
Tell something about the concept behind!

here's an update...

thanks prayas... not so much a sand worm, but a sand catapillar (and not of its own choosing as it likes moist terrain), ...... locomotion is like a catapillar

concept came about by wanting a long line of beaten, broken hearted critters... ones that had once proudly dominated the lands but now were slaves, and to control them was to strip them of their site and hearing, further humiliating this breed......"Man in the Iron Mask" syndrome-from king to disgusting

Lol, you're from America aren't you?

Your BoB is looking pretty good this far, I really like the wrinkels (no not the ones in the picture), but looks like you didn't attach the head to the body just yet.
Anways, keep it up

Joril....hi, yah , i'm in america

& yah, the head wasn't connected then......i'm buiding it as seperate objects/layers....and that "collar" was a band of extruded polys that served as a template

i got a bunch of "real" work to do this week....so i may not post for a few..

i got some ideas though that i want to try out ...so maybe if i can sneak a few hours in......
