Micha Bostrom has entered the Machineflesh 3D Challenge.
Hi Evryone !
Today I started to draw one of many concept characters I have in my mind. Look below the text
Tomorrow I will put up a makeover of this character...
But Im kind of new to working with 2d "photoshop".. so for me my concepts will take a little longer to make
Hopefully I will create many diffrent characters that I really want to hear your opinions about
best wishes to your all !

To explain some thoughts about this makeover, I planned to do two stories but I know you all don't want to read side after side so I shortend one of the stories instead :p
When this little horse were new born, he lost his parents and was heavily injured himself when a huge fire broke lose inside his stable. Beeing the only survior of the horses in the stable made the owners knee weak what to do. They spared his life and wanted to give him the best treatment there was. So he got to a clinic were they took care of him and replaced his injured parts. They also tested a new kind of equipment, called a universal translator. Wtih this device the medics and rest of mankind could talk to other spicies.

Yes!! I finally have time to start on this character =)
Here is a screen grab from my 3dpackage, I'll start of making this character as close to a real horse as possible, then I'll replace his parts *cheating a bit with symetry :p*
Anyway.. hope to post fresh pictures on a regular basis from now on :)

That's looking clean and nice start!
I thing his neck is a bit too long or maybe is this view that gives that feeling!
Also I thing you have to thing more mech parts to have!

The neck is propably alright but it may look strange from that viewangle, I also think lack of hair adds some negative effect :s
I'll have full of mech parts on/in - his head, - one of the two front legs by end of this competition.. but that's maybe not enough ? :p
I have had some suggestions from my pal's here.. who thinks I should integrate a saddle on him.. what do think about that ? :) propably not.. I like it clean, smooth and stylish.. I'm not into that dark-mech history were the model has 3000bolts, screws and other funky stuff. Im thinking into future, were we want smaller, lighter and smarter stuff. I'm focusing on making nice xray renderings to compliment the few bolts I'll have on the outside of the mesh.
That's what this contest is about, right? .. how to connect mechanicalparts with flesh ? :)
Been some time since I last updated this...
For now, Im trying to make some displacement mapping in zbrush, which will make it easier to create fx as veins, musculature etc. Hope I'll succed =) otherwise I'll have to make it in max :S
Anyway.. still only pictures of the fleshbody, no machine parts so far.. but don't worry I'll post some really soon *hope to keep that promise* ;)
PS. did some testing with shaghair =)
