View Full Version : GAME ART COMP #6: Morpheus: The Matrix
dtrimble 03-17-2004, 08:04 AM I feel Morpheus will be a big challenge for me, and I really dig the character. Here is some quick reference.

After you're done with him you should submit it with a demo reel to Monolith games. They are looking for people to work on an online Matrix game.

Another reference pic, and my model's start.
YET- I don't have a recent demo, otherwise I would consider it:p

Looking good. Great likeness. Can we have a close up wire of the face and hands?
One thing though, it looks like he's leaning back to much.

Wow. I think this is one of the few entries I've seen where the model looks so much like the actor without the texture. If I saw this model out of context, I would know instantly that you were shooting for Lawerence Fisburn without question. Great job!

Thanks for the comments! The face is starting to look like him, but the eyes are of course a huge challenge to overcome, and I haven't even started on them yet.
Here are shots that show the wires of the hand and face:

the face is fantastically spot on. But his body is way too skinny. Laurence is stocky and thick, I thikn your ref photos are a little misleading.

Maybe the shoulders are a bit too broad. But nice work so far!

Your pictures are not showing up for me in the submissions thread. Am I the only one? If That site doesnt come back up soon... try one of these free image hosting sites:

Then just edit your submission post with the new links.

I think your facial geometry is spot-on. The untextured model is instantly recognizable as Laurence Fisburn. I think however the texture leave something to be desired. But then you completed your model, and I didn't so who am I to talk?
