Sweet idea for a contest. Ok, So basically I have never entered on eof these before, I have limited experience in 3d, am graphic designer and have posted like once or twice with a model I ended up loosing cause my computer died...very sad.

The sketch is super rough because I do not have a scanner or wacom and drew it in photoshop, so excuse the blurriness. But i wanted to do this right and start with an image.

Basically the creature was once a fierce predator who generally ate whatver it found, had large horns for ramming and cutting up its prey and large teeth for ...eating... heh. The 'people' of the planet noticed how powerfull these critter were and began raising them, at birtch "sanding" down the teth, cutting the tail off and blunting it's horns.

I have not figured how i want the device and saddle to look that is pulls. But I thinks I will start with the critter.

Well hope you guys like it ok. and crit would be sweet.

Oh and depending on time I would really like to make a baby of one of these things, if you guys think that would be keen.

Rrrrrriiiippp
hehehe just kiding :D
I like your sketch. I think the proportions look really good for a BoB. The head looks a bit like some other entries, but I think once we see some more 3D stuff it'll become more unique. Good stuff so far.

hey thanks for the reply, I was just wondering if I should do him wih or without horns...not really sure yet.. Actually the sketch is really rough, the ones I drew on paper look way more unique than what i did in photoshop. Tho still probably similar to some other. I think he will come into his own tho. I am going t go check some of the competition (of whcih i am sure there is much) to see if I am to close.

I am gonna give him a beak instead of teeth I think, or maybe a beak on top and teetch on the bottom.

BTW this is my first quadraped! I am afraid of the body.

thanks again

and another update...not really sure about the ear yet...the tusks are rounded on the edges, but they will be harsh and flattened as I go. Just want to keep updating the thread so it does not disappear, besides it mtoivates me to be able to see allt he progress on one page heh.

hey, great stuff. I love your initial sketch of the beast...and I think you should try to stay closer to that design. The way the tusks are positioned right now on the model doesn't look natural. Try to angle them downwards a bit, like in the drawing. and if you're up to it, they might look cool protruding from the inside of the mouth.

keep it up! I'll keep checking back on this one.
:p
