View Full Version : Bezier NURBS Patches

Searching the manual, looking for a way to have points on two patches open at the same time...

It looks like it's not possible (O GOD I want my 3DM import filter :D)

Anybody have a sugestion? What I'm having to do is manually read the point world coordinates from a target point to the point that needs to connect to it.

try this:

in the snap settings >> enable snapping >> for points only
then just move the desired point on the target point, until it snaps...
no need to copy the coordinates.

indeed, the only problem is when I have two Bezier patches I can't see the points from the other patch...

They do snap in if I know where to go, however.

did you ever get a copy of my head tutorial, I made a whole head using bezier patches, you can't connect them, but I found a great method for lining them ub, and then evventually converting them and welding them, would be better if you could leave them as they are and just join them but alas no

if cinema would allow us to connect them in some fashion, like the connect function for mesh...

i guess thats why i never used the bezier patch stuff.

they have so much potential, but are currently almost useless.

Knowing what I know about the potential of NURBS and how well they re-create surfaces from those already existing to those being created for CAD/CAM/CAE/RapidPrototype projects I'm very surprised that our friends in Germany *don't * support them better...
