I think, everybody knows the movie. And everybody (or better every women) loves him: El Mariachi a.k.a Antonio Banderas.
This is my first Competition here and I am not that skilled but I will beat the crap out of me to bring in a good result.

Hi again. so this is my first WIP pic. I tried to give the ear some details instead of a flat textured surface. Now I am not sure how to do the hair. The main part will just be a bumped texture. In the front he will get some locks (hope correct expression, bad english...). And what do u think about the tail.
last question: How can I see the exact number of the triangles. Are faces = triangles?

antonio doesn't have much of an indent between his forhead and nose... the one you gave him really makes him look like a child... for now i don't see much resemblence, but it is, ater all, a WIP :)

Yeah I already recognized that. Start to fix it right now. But what about the hair?

If I recall correctly, he had his hair parted and down each side of his face for most of the film. It made him look much more dishevled, important character detail considering the backstory on the character revealed throughout the film.

Little update. Tried to work on Antonio`s basic shape. I think it got better. Greatest problem is his nose :). Maybe I will add some more polies later. Dont look at the ear, just started to work on it ;).

Little update again. As I am quite satisfied with Antonios basic shape of the head I started with arms and torso/jacket etc....
and a 1st texture test. I have nearly zero experience with texturing stuff so this will be the most challenging part for me but I like the first result :)

Yeah. Basic body shape almost done. Will add some details to his jacket and trousers. Head especially ears need some optimizing cause triscount is already at 3500...
Don't forget the guitar case. :) :)

I'm not seeing a resemblance in the geometry. Have you looked for reference images from his other movies, too?

Well for me, the clothes already look a bit like those in the movies: tight jeans, short jacket. But I havent really much worked on it. At the moment I am trying improve the look Antonios face. I have been working for hours and hours and... yes hours. But I havent been succesfull yet :( . Now I am getting back to work again..

Hi again. I just wanted to know the exactly modelname of this weapon. I guess it`s kinda SIG but I havnt found it on the Internet yet. Or is it a custom weapon?
edit: found it! Itīs a Ruger P90 :)

Well. I fixed the face a bit. Worked on the texture and so on. I think it`s getting to look like Antonio...
Unfortunately the test texture is way too big :/, but it looks good :D

I don't know if you changed the model, or just applied the texture, but from the front, it looks alot better.

Nice texturing on the face, but one thing I have to say, he looks much cooler with his hair down.

Thats the problem! I am not sure how to model that. Polygonal planes? Maybe someone could show me a good example of good hair. That would be nice!
