ekis plugpak...its very usefull, especally as a beginner...and, right after buying lw, it was affordable :) now fprime wich is only my second commercial plugin!

Like many others here, FPrime is my first plug-in purchase, and I decided to bite the bullet and plunk down the cash for Sasquatch while I was at it. Been playing around with Sasquatch over the weekend and boy is it fast! :) Still waiting for my license key for FPrime though! :scream:

Project Messiah 1.5, then Messiah Studio (although its stand alone) then FPrime. But i'm so happy we have so many generous 3rd party developers. Without them i would have to spend a fortune in little plugins, or do many months of additional work.

Fiber Factory for LW 5.6 was the first plugin I ever bought and then Sasquatch came into existence and I bought that. I've never touched Fiber Factory since.

My first plugin was Particle Storm 2 Jr. The full version didn't work with Inspire 3D, which I was also purchasing at the same time (couldn't afford LightWave back then!).

I've bought several since then that I've found to be really worthwhile. FPrime is my latest purchase and looks to be very useful as well. :bounce:

Joe Alter's Shave and a Haircut (Shave Extreme), which included LipService and a giant parallell dongle made in Romania all for $99.

Then the price for LightWave went down, and the price for its plugins went up, and Joe Alter ran away.

But LipService has yet to be matched by any facial animation plugin since.

I was one of the few who bought Particle Storm Pro, and then saw Lightwave 7's PFX make it obsolete.

Messiah 1.5 was my other purchase, and one I shall always be grateful for!

I came from Impulse Imagine (http://www.coolfun.com/html/imagine1.html) (well, also Softimage but that was at work), so my first plugin to LW was IFW Textures (http://shaders.org/) which was originally made for Imagine For Windows (IFW) - a bit a trivia for some.:)

fantastic app that did the same thing as puppet master but cheaper (it was $50 i think) and the whole setup process was much better thought out too.

nik lever is a god in my book....

it's the app that made 5.6 era lw character animation a possibility... actually, there's still a lot to like about this process over weightmapping to bones imo.

It was so long ago. But it must have been a DR plugin me thinks. Probably Impact 1. Remember I needed the simulation for a gig I was doing then.
Or it could have been Superglow, remember getting that at around the same time, had to render an animation with field rendering and lot's of glows in it, and because of LW's glow field bug I got SuperGlow.
