Just a concept of the beast for now. Will start modelling on it now...

Just a minor update. Still a long way to go...

Looks good.:thumbsup:

That hair might be a problem though, as we are not allowed to use textures. ;)

hey otacon ,dont forget we can use displacement for something that its praticly impossible to model .......so i think hair is praticly impossible to model....no

@ otacon
Thnx. The hair can be made, if not with Shag then, as Gabe suggests, with Displace (Not my prefered solution). I could also make a bunch of splines and scatter them all over the area. But this will come, when I texture it. I don't think that's part of the modelling process.

A small update. Still needs to get rid of some 'box' areas and of course the head. The details will come after the head is complete. I trashed the feet because I didn't like them.

Thnx, Cyborg. :wavey:

Yet another update. I decided to make another head as I modelled. I think this one fits the body much better.

Well, after a rather long vacation I've done a little more. I Don't think I'll be able to finish it in time, but here goes what I have for now:

Hi, Frakke-
Looks cool - itīs a shame if you canīt finish!!.
What happend to the feet? Looks sort of weird (black spots) - or is it just the render? Donīt stop modeling!

Yep, the odd black spots are rendering artifacts. I will definetly finish this one, but not before the deadline (today :hmm: ). As I write, I'm modelling a little man to control the beast.

Hey frakke, pity you can't finish, because this was turning into one great model! You still going to post up a "final"?

@erilaz:
Well, perhaps. I hope I can finish the model beneath and perhaps even a burden to the beast. I won't be able to skin the beast though. I don't have time for that.

Well, the little man controling the beast:
