Oooh, LOVE that effect. Reminiscent of Yoshitaka Amano...
Do you envision making your model resemble the concept very much? I'd love to see how you acheive that look!
Keep it up, man:buttrock:

so here are few more quick ones ...
I used Painter and wacom tablet again. just playin' around looking for form and proportions.
generally this kitty isn't small :)
I think it's gonna be a heavy loaded with many muscles and no fat included.
Concept is a concept but now it's time to play with polys ;>

That's very nice modeling Kira. From a profile it reminds me of a Puma...not from the front though.
So what is your next step going to be?

Wow!! first time ive seen this thread, excellent.
I like how you sort of based your BoB on a feline instead of the standard bull type BoB. Looking forward to seeing more!

That's looking awesome..love the head and paws. Killer proportions.
Only things I'd say right now are the points on the shoulderblades seem a little high..unless those are some other mutant bits, nmind :) Also the ears don't seem seperate enough, I really like the plastered back look, makes it very evil looking, but it looks like they're fully part of the head otherwise, and can't rotate. Of course all of that depends on how much of a cat it really is, it could be any kind of beastie.
Look forward to more..
wondering about ading a "rusta hairs" you call that dread locks or something like that.
also planning the backpack and rider . ( some sort of aerodynamic I think )
This beast is an express, (tgv) . ;)
and really I dont know what is going to be next :)
she is chaniging everytime I model her.
and yes!, that's a she.
hehz

Kira
backpack. :)
first "sketch".
"driver" is going to be placed lying over the head.
something like the superbikers position.
I think that post-apoc don't have to be such old-fashion style.
damn. sorry for eng ;)
good night, day or whatever you have.

Kira first of all i want to say that i really loved your sketches, i man a LOT:surprised !!!!:)
I was asking myself how you will model such a conceptual sketches. But the first modeling was great too, very very similar to concept, amazing!
But i'm a little disapointed with the last posts. I mean that the modeling details made this beast much more comon and less original. I think you should take your pencil again and drraw this details with the same great style you did the other sketches. And after that come back to modeling.
I know that i'm very pointy with that, don't missunderstood me i'm a great fan of your art. But we're here for excel ourself, don't we?

Ooo! Now I remember, I know what it remined me of. Did you ever read R.A. Salvatore's Icewind Dale or the trilogy about the darkelv drizzt'do urden? He had a black panther called guenhwyvar, and your image looks much like my imagination of that fantasy animal. It was a "she" aswell :bounce:
Fedron:
big thanks for this one. that kind of crits helps a lot.
Dont worry. Ill' be watching my self.
Anyway I still looking for the right proportions and trying to find the best way.
So the details like all these hairy-posapoc-alien things are waiting.
but I'll make her nasty... ;) and that's what I'm sure of. And she won't be so shiny... :D ...an express at the desert.
I just don't want to begin something which is not good in details.
Crash: hehez I agree... but lepper??? he stinks :D

Kira
now I can see that .... she is damn too fat!
hehehez.
fixin' it.

The fabric looks a bit strange the way it goes around the front legs, kind of reminds me of those woollen hippy cardigans. Not sure yet??

looking nice...love the dramatic camera angle you got there and your beast is great...the only thing that looks a bit off is the lenght of the girls legs...they look really long compared to her body...but that's it...coming very nicely!!
