Nice illustration and coloring, javawark. Has a very Masamune Shirow feel to it. Some more nice little details on the deck (barrels, ropes, etc) would really bring the whole thing to life. Great work!

Really really great!
I don't usually comment in this 2d forum, but this one is lovely.
Only lill tiny pick ... those highlights on her chin seem a bit strange :|
Congratulations!

Ohh nice! What a sexy pirate. I also like the sky very much.
But the legs seem a little off to me. They don't completely match the rest of the body imho. Oh yeah maybe you could add some details as Urrgos said.

nice image.....my only crit is the face...as apossed to pibre3d...i lke the legs although they are aliitle more plump at the tops. i would like to see the bottoms alittle thiker too. anyway the face is my crit. it does not seem to fit the style of the picture or painting. it seems alittle simplistic and anime style. not bad. tough to explain. i just seems alittle off....but thats just my preference i believe.....does anyone else see this as well....am i retarted...jk....nice style though:bounce:

Great work. I personally like the legs, but have issues with the arms. Her left arm seems to be darker than the other parts of the body and it also looks like the right forearm is shorter than the left. I really like it though!

Well you pretty much nailed my thoughts.
When i saw it on the front page, cropped down to just the head I thought i knew what the rest was gonna look like. Well after it slowly loaded, i was surprised to see those legs with that face.
Just seems like an anime type head/shoulders, then these super long sexy legs. I was imagining a little stockier, almost more childish body.
Not to say that my opinion is what is right, but that's just what my perspective. And i don't normally like critiquing 2D work because people will hardly make changes seeing as how it would involve a lot more work than had it been 3D and you just hit re-render.
If you were to ignore everything i've said, i would atleast turn the head a little. Right now it's a deadon view of the face, while the body is very curvy and overlapping. Even the arms are all twisted, the head just doesn't seem to blend in with that body.

looks good. there is something up with the legs, as some ppl have mentioned. i think the thighs are slightly big, but that is not a problem. the only thing is the weird twist in the legs. doesn't seem like a natural pose. i could imagine someone trying really hard just to be able to stand in that awkward position.

Great illustration.
There is something slightly off about her posture though. Her Right foot seems to be too far to the left, It makes the pose not seem so comfortable hence not natural.
But the design and all I have nothing to say, looks veery sexy.

even though the colors are rendered beautifully, the character suffers from severe proportion problems. her legs are waaaaay too short. in general, the thighs and the calf should be the same length as the distance between the shoulder and the pelvis.
her hands are also too long; they shouldn't reach to halfway down her thigh.
i'm sorry, but this needs a lot more work to be frontpage-worthy. just an opinion.

Nice illustration and painting.
The pose looks very awkward and off ballance. Ruins an otherwise nice piece. Too bad you rushed to the final stages of colouring before fixing the pose in the sketch stage.
I also agree that her thighs are probably too thick and long for the rest of the body. And she seems to have a bit of a bulge in her bikini area.
Great effort though. Cheers!

hm...well, like the others, i noticed that her stance was a little off....like she could fall over at any moment...it just looks a little weird
other than that....nice image

very cool. THis reminds me of monkey island. Strange no one else mentioned that yet.
I don't think you have proportion problems btw. THe only thing I could complain about is her right knee, looks somewhat boxy.
nice.

This is great work, vibrant stuff. I notice alot of the critics don't post artwork and have not been on the frontpage so you've done something they haven't. Just jealous my man, keep it up.

I love pirates. Best genre in the world. :applause:
There are simply too few movies/games/illustrations being done on this theme these days.

She is nice (arms are a bit too musculared for me), otherwise you have great works on your website. :)

The color and the costume are my favorite parts of this. Even the ship holds in the background have a superb deal of accuracy. Very cool.

:applause: I really like this. The legs do seem a bit large IMO. And ... her right arm looks a little short (or the perspective is odd). I really really like the costume. :) Really nice work!
:) I couldn't get to your site ... :(
