Hi,

I've made a character with editable mesh. When i convert it to editable poly and using meshmooth max 6 crashes !!
I've installed back the soft, but every time i open the file it crashes again !!! What's going on, can't i use editable poly ????
There's no problems when using editable mesh. Can anyone help me ?

Haven't seen something like that happen before... Have you tried not using meshsmooth, but just using Editable Poly's option to use NURMS subdivision?
Otherwise, it seems like you might have a problem with your mesh. You may have to check it for double faces, isolated vertices, etc.

If all else fails, convert to epolyin max5, export as 3ds and reimport to max6.

Hi, I just tried without using meshmooth but it still fails on file opening, no double faces or vertex as well.

Well, anyway, i'll stay in mesh mode for now as it's not really important for this character to be in editable poly.
