Cyberploc Studio is looking for Maya junior/senior Character Animator. Please check our website http://www.cyberplocstudio.com, go to "current production", and open "character setup" for reference. The character is subdivision surface. You must have an access to Maya4.0 unlimited.
Cyberploc Studio is the first Internet studio specialized in the production of 3D generated films. Via the "Member Area" available at Cyberplocstudio.com, a digital artist can work from home, transfer the scene files to a main server and keep in contact with the entire production. Our first production is a non-commercial short animated movie "Grand-Ma", featuring our main character PLOC and a colorful talking bird. This project is entirely produced by a group of volunteer artists who wish to share or extend their skills in the field of computer animation.
Cyberploc Studio is producing a non-commercial short movie, everyone working on this movie is volunteering to work on his/her free time. This is non-paid position. The movie will be film output to 35 mm and shown at animation/cinema festivals around the world. Artists are free to use the part of work for their own demo reel, the resume with photo will be posted on the cyberploc studio promotional website (http://www.cyberplocstudio.com -> "The Digital Artists"). Everyone who worked on the project will recieve a VHS tape at the completion of the movie. This is great oppurtunity to add high quality character animaton piece to your portfolio.
You can (1) send us the URL address where we can see your animation or (2) send us your sample animation via email (animation must be smaller than 2MB), or (3) ask for our temp server to upload your animation.

We received a lot of inquries, applications.
Now we have some new animators who help out and we must temporary stop scouting. I will post again once we begin to accept resume and samples.
