Is this for an actual job for the band or just personal work?
Nice concept. The skull looks great. Overall it seems a little to dark. Maybe the background can have something.

Thanks, Rey! No, this isn't for an actual job.. just a concept piece that I did for a recent Daily Sketch Group (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=39) (ConceptArt.org) assignment: "Create a flyer for a favourite band". So... just personal work.

I'd love to do a cover for these guys... I've wanted to for many years, but I've beem under the impression that they've broken up and then they go and release an album. That's happened 3 times now :surprised , because apparently they've just regrouped and are planning a new album this summer!

Who knows... maybe someday I'll get my dream?

I suppose I agree with you about the dark,spare nature of this image, but that was partly because it was so quick, and partly because I wanted to keep it simple. I may still do some variations/expansions of this theme, though... as though it were part of the press kit.

All that said, if anybody knows a way to contact those fellows, I'd be much obliged for you to PM me about it. ;)

well, I like it! I love skulls... I collect them... (including human) I've been wanting to do some imagery with them... I just got a digital camera... Guess I'll be playing around as well....

I like the gear/pump used... nice effect... also like the "too closeup to the television" look... very nice.


My husband is a big fan of theirs... I tihnk they are touring this year? Or is it just a new album... hmmmm... he'd know... I'll let him take a look. I know he'll appreciate it!
