I seem to remember having this problem a while back as well, but I'm not entirely sure can remember what it was I did to fix it. Have you tried rendering in different type of image files perhaps? Are you sure you're rendering from the correct camera?

i doing some test with fur and iīve had some problems similar, renders first 10 frames and then it just disapear.

what kind of computer (cpu/ram...) do you use?

i found that using advanced render fur for creating fur files alow me to render more frames... but i canīt get more than 50 or so frames straight

my hardware:P4-1.8G, 512MB
i tried to creat fur files first, but each fur file was amount to 30mb.
that's too big, is it normal?
and after creating fur files,i still can't see any fur when i run batch render.

in my test i used a 720*576 resolution with 8 objects, eache whith about 100.000 fur density and 1 soptlight with a shadow map (1024) and the fur files where about 16MB,
so if your doing something bigger would say that 30MB for the files should be normal.

have your tried rendering only the fur without the geomtry by disabling maya render in the fur globals, and then compose the rest.

yes, i tried to turn on "disabling maya render " and rendered only the fur. but it doesn't work.
the resolution is 320x240, and 20,000 fur density.
here is my fur globals setting before i turn on "disabling maya render ":

i don't understand why each fur file so big is?
