i made a polygon character and then decided he should have fur...im gonna use paintfx so i need a nurbs surface. also there will be deformations so i cant just put a nurbs object under it...any advise so i dont have to remodel my character in nurbs? or is there an easy way to remodel in nurbs...for example create curves that follow the topology?? THANX!

You could try converting your poly model to a sub-d surface, and then converting the sub-d to NURBS, and then creating a wrap deformer so that when you deformed the poly surface, the underlying nurbs surface would also deform. The only problem is that if your surface is complex, like it is in your case, the conversion to NURBS results in quite a few patches. It's just an idea! Hope this helps you out a little.
