Well this is pretty much the first character I've done so far.
The polycount is 3884.
Rigging is something I haven't done so don't realy expect to see some fancy poses from this one :)

:: EDIT - 14.3.2004 :: Redid the folds on the pants

The older pic (http://koti.mbnet.fi/whitefox/pox2.jpg)

the gunblades gun part is still untextured.

and the wire frame.

I can really feel his character. I'd like to see the arms more dynamic, but it's too late for that. The rinkels around the ankel seem to be just placed there instead of real folds. The high lights on top of the folds could "pop" a bit more. Try uping the contrast a smidge. Make some of the shadows blacker. I think the texture on the blade needs to be reworked. Overall I think it really feels sinister. nice work.

@tryad: how does it shoot.... well ummm you're going to have to play Final fantasy 8 to figure that out :) . Hehe I like that style too, it's cartoonish

@yereviltwin: Yeah the folds on the pants are kinda.. poor. I was thinking of making em all over again ^-^
Well I shall see what I can do to the blade, but if ya think it needs to be done again, I'll try to make it again hehe..
I'm not much of a texture artist but I will give it a try ^-^

Thanks for the comments.

sweet ... yereviltwin pointed out the major issues

The only thing I can add is the advice to get thoose Ngons away. Esspecially at the tip of the sword. Also in the face area you can weld some vertics together because this is lowpoly modeling and not highpoly modeling. tries donīt matter :)

Keep it up

Looks great, though you might wanna consider going back and getting rid of those 3 indentation holes on the blade part of the gun. Really no reason to model them when you can just texture them on and cut back your poly count.

Just a thought~

@Prs-Phil, well dunno where to weld vertices on the face. The face has roughly around 1k polygons in it. I don't consider that to be to high now is it? the whole model has just under 4k so not too high for a game model, no? ^-^

@darkax, Well yeah they're not realy needed and can be textured, but meh I like some holes which you can see through ^-^

thx for the c&c

he's looking great so far... the head reminds me of the little alien dude that was inside the human robot in Men in black.

the folds around the waist seem a little strange to me right now. I dont see a reason why in the middle of the fold, it would go up, it should keep flowing down.

and that piece of clothing on his right wrist could look strange when you rig him, it looks way too loose, and unless you put some cloth dynamics on it, or rig it really well, its gonna look very unnatural, as right now it looks like it could slide right off his arm.

Overall, pretty good so far, keep it up! ;)

@jeffo: I think that 'lil dude had bigger eyes ^-^, I've been told that this looks more like gollum from LOTR.
Hehe yeah the wrist band ain't realy should be wrapped around the wirst and not just hang there loosely.

Aight well I've been trying to rig this lil fella most of the day. Haven't done it before so it's something new to me ^-^, managed to get the arms from the T-pose down, yay for me.

I've also rigged the legs tho, imo they need some more work. Didn't move the legs in the pic.
