I have a Polygon mesh.. that I have been switching back from Sub-D mode to Polygon Mode ....

ANYHOW...

The mesh has ended up at the BOTTOM of a LONG list of empty group nodes? is THIS the blind node thing that people are talking about?

I did an optimize scene.. and that didnt seem to take care of it... YES.. I allready got rid of this problem by simply selectng the groups ONE BY ONE.. and then choosing UNGROUP...

but I imagine someone has a better way to do this.

Thanks

No, I don't think its blind data, blind data is actually data that Maya don't see and use, but might be use by other application like game engine.

I suspect it is the construction history that create several transform node when you convert back a subD to poly.
