View Full Version : Why do polygons 'disappear' when selected?

Guys,

I have a primative cube I'm making into a Cornell box for GI testing. I deleted the front polygon, select all, invert the rest. When I go to poly select mode to map the colors on the walls, the polys 'disappear' in the shaded view. WHY?

Need to reverse the normals.

Yeah, I inverted the normals on all the remaining polys (since I care only about the inside of the box). Still, when you go into poly select, they disappear in the shaded view. Try it. It's like the normals flip flop from object select to poly select.

Sounds like a quirk of your display driver/ card.

Finally got it: you need to enable 'force two sided' in viewport config. RTFM, eh? ;)
