Lo..just thought iīd share my first ever game texture..

Is that blood or a red light?
itīs a red light..u could look at the quicktime file u would see it then ;)

nice work, very atmospheric! obviously, most game textures don't have the lighting baked into the texture, but other than that i think they look very nice. good job!
could always bake the light sepparate :) but what the hey :P

i thought most games did have lighting baked into the texture to save resources etc hmmmmmmmmmm

well i'm only really familiar with FPS techniques, and they usually have some kind of radiant, precalculated lighting system or a dynamic lighting system, both of which use a separate lightmap (or dynamic equivalent) to light up the levels. It also makes your textures easier to reuse!

I also like this. Red light gives it quite a nice feel. Heavily reminds me of a scene from Final Fantasy VII, where cloud is dressed as a soldier.
