View Full Version : POINT SNAP script needed

Hi,
I want a script that does the following:
I will select a bunch of objects, then go to component mode and select their verts. When I run this script, it will take any two verts within a certain (user definable) distance and snap them together.

Basically a merge vertices commmand without the merge if that makes any sense.
I am going to be using this to close up a bunch of seams in a terrain mesh that consists of many different small peices.

Anyone have a script or klnow of where I can get one that does the above?

I don't have time to check it out myself, but I remember a script called tangentCVWin I got off of Highend3D a long time ago. It uses a vert snap principle (for NURBS) in the code and the GUI was very simple looking. I don't know if you could quickly change this to work for polys but maybe...
