View Full Version : Beast Of Burden - Character - Digones
digones 07-05-2002, 12:15 AM Hi,
This is my first time in a challenge. I use lightwave (I'm a newbie). I was thinking to make some creature that moves like a reptile, but with strong feet (for the heavy load) and a BIG BELLY! :buttrock:
Well, here's the very first roughs.
PS: For the feet I was inspired by a STARWARS creature called "falumpaset" (from Episode 1)
Please, make comments! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
and sorry for my terrible english!!! :airguitar

on second thought, the feet might need to be a bit wider (side view), like in your sketch.
peace!

Now i'll work on the body and the shape of the head.
I made some changes from the original sketches. (my drawing skills are terrible too!!). I'll make a gecko-style head...
tcha-nan!
(the first draw is just a study from a gecko, the 2 others are the concepts)

Fique tranquilo, cara! :wavey: Nao sou brasileiro, mas ainda vale, ne?
I really like the new head much better than the original! Looks great! I like the foot, too. I think that the drooping skin on the ankle should actually rest on the tops of the toes, making creases.
More, more!:bounce:
PS. Parabens a selecao por ser PENTACAMPIOES!!!:bounce: :applause:

Nice, I like the tendon in the back of the leg. I think the foot might need a little more cushioning or else this animal would suffer from chronic joint problems, he needs pads or something on his feet to absorb the shock.
WOAH! and u call urself a newbie????Hey guys !just look at that crazy leg! Great design/art/model!!
this thread is great from the start...

You have one leg? Spend more time modeling than rendering.

Hey, this guy started out looking good (well his foot did) wheres the rest of him? Drink beer while you model, much faster than doing them separate!
