I try the last 2 days creating simple long straight hair o a head, I cant get it to work. Any tutorials for long hair out there or any help would be great.

Do you mean like This (http://www.simplyviagra.com/GirlHair.jpg) I worked on this for a bit and found out that you have to pretty much work in layers. You cant shape all the hair at once.

Can you use guide hair curves like in Maya's Shave and XSI incorporated Shave?

That looks pretty good could I get that sample file?? How do you do it? Just the Translate tool??

TMAS sample file? what file do you want? I cant give you the model.
Yeah I use all the tools in shave translate, scale, brush away. I also lock the small control points when I have then where I want them.

Yes to the Maya part. AFAIK Maya and Cinema use exactly the same hair editor, which is an external program (sort of like how Messiah works).
