View Full Version : Basic Modeling Question
SoulsStrife 03-10-2004, 07:03 PM I have recently gotten a trial of cinema4d and i was wondering when modeling objects like say for example its a table and u want to put an apple ontop of it.
how would i make it so the apple goes right on top of it and isnt floating over it a little or going to far into it?

The best thing you can do is using either the coordinates box or the snap options if possible.

Yeah... Being an architect, I went through the same concern. Then I started using the "Don't Worry About It" plugin!
Just kidding! But for real, snapping to an organic object is difficult sometimes. Unless advanced precision is absolutely necessary, you'll find that by the time you render, the twenty minutes you spent placing your apple wasn't really necessary.
I would suggest using good judgement as to when this type of precision is absolutely necessary. More times than not... it isn't!
