I am new here. And I have a trouble in rigging my character's hair.
is there any way to set up the hair so that I don't have to manually animate the hair?

You can always try soft bodyes....

rig the hair and then assign some dynamic system on it, and then put muscle deformer on it with nice skin sliding feature in it and thenn . .. . hmm . . this is rigging a hair izzin't . . dang it ! . . .

i did it last month :) using
2. ik spline
3. softbody the curve (original is soft, new is target)
4. map goalPP to gradiant (there is a trick to do it)
5. put simple collision objcet + gravity feild
thats it ..
