When I fist started using Vegas, the tutorials at Creative Cow were very helpful for me to get a feel for the software, so I think they're worth doing.

As a personal note, I can't get enough of Vegas 4. I never had an affinity when I used Premier, but Vegas clicks with me, and I can get projects done incredibly fast.
