View Full Version : TV forced power off Effect

I was wondering if anyone might have come across a tutorial or a strategy to achieve this effect. Its the usual visual you get when you pull the plug of an old TV and the image shrinks vertically into a white line and ultimately shrinks into a white dot, kind of like the end of Matrix flicks.
Any ideas?

One Method:

I usually just scale the "television image" down to a thin line on Y (crank the glow and brightness) then quickly scale that line on X and fade out. Looks pretty snazzy with some motion blur as well.
