Here's the first post for "jambon"...
This is my 3d version of a cartoonistik pig inspirated by drawings from an artist called José-luis Munuera for "Merlin".
I already work for about 2 days and a half on this model.
I have already preview to modify top lips and long part of the nose...
I work on this one as a gaming model, low poly count 5700 faces with eyes and mooth stuff.
no texturing for now till i finish model tomorrow...
Waiting for crits....

lol, that's a freaky looking pig!!
I wouldn't have recognised it as a pig if you hadn't said so though...

A curly tail would be nice, and it seems to me he would fall over with his feet this far to the rear. Nice model though, has a nice cartoonish feel to it!

hi kotter btw :)

I agree. It looks more like Slimer and a rabbit had a baby.

dude, this is a simple case of not planning before you begin with your model, not doing the research, or not deciding on a style or certain concept. The result is porky pig meets wile e coyote. The legs are horrendous, i would change them completely. I love the rest of him, very nice unique character, but the feet got to go man, no big would have those kinds of legs, theyre more a chicken's... Also i would watch out for how exaggerated you make those ears, cause i honestly thought wile e coyote till i saw the rest of it.... Good job.

I totally agree with wartorn

the thing I want to add conserns the modeling. I was allready going to say that he has far to many faces on him but you´ve show un some images with a lower count.

What I really hate and I will always hate it are vertics that are really close to each other. I know you can get better vertex ligthing out of it but in your case you don´t. Even for animation some vertics are just irrelevant. Just weld them together or at least use them for better definition of the model

keep it up your going the right way

:)

I'm still stuck at the fact that he's such a big creature, but his arms and legs are anorexic. I say, chop off the nose, arms, legs, tail, and ears, make his butt come to a point, and color him green. He looks more like Slimer from Ghostbusters, man.

...thanks a lot guys for this comments, yeah you're right i found that he look like the coyotte when he had even the chance of eating as he wants...
You're right thought that i don't plane anything before modeling,i do as i draw that's for my own pleasure...sorry ;)
By the way that's the kind of design i like, gonna map and try some deformations with this actual new legs...
See you probably tomorrow for first step in mapping....
...thanks you again for your helpfull crits, helping me seeing true weird things about this stuff.....

p.s:sorry Matt i'm very fond of Ghostbuster but i'm not gonna do another slimer...maybe another day ;)

he he very nice character !!
just love his expression..it's gonna be very funny to animate him!
the second model is much much better 'cause, to me, the first one wasn't balanced enough and very hard to make him walk..
maybe fatter breast could be nice..
oué d'accord pour la queue en tir bouchon.. ;)
Hate de le voir texturer..bonne continuation..
a+
