View Full Version : Ahhhh!!Painting Weights...and now It no longer shows up b&w...please help

Hi folks,

I appologize if this is a really common problem...I tried looking it up in the archives...anyway, I appreciate any help I can get...


I'm having a wierd problem with painting smooth skin weights.

Once I add an influence object to the skin...the color feedback disappears in the paint weights tool...regardless of it being checked on or off.

On top of that...I can no longer paint weights on the joints selected in the tool option box.

what settings did you use when applying your influence objects?

usually its a matter of being in object mode selecting the skin then trying to paint. Unless you are selecting a parent node to the geometry or something else it should work...... Only suggestion I have cause i never has that problem. sorry if you already tried those things.

make sure that Hold Weights is turned off for the influences you want to paint.
if you add an influence object, Lock Weights is turned on by default for your influence.
