Hm, i dont get some of the parameters for the different lights, maybe you guys can help me out...

Contrast and soften diff edges - Now, i know what contrast is, but i just dont see any difference when fiddeling with these two controls..

Near and far attenuation - This doesnt change anything, what the heck to they do?

Decay - Whats this useful for?

Use global settings - Well, um..?

Light affects shadow color - this one to..

Atmosphere shadows -

This probably is very trivial stuff for you guys, but i havent got a clue :/
Any help appreciated!

Dont mean to be rude or anything, but how's it going with those renders, Ila? ;)

Well playing with the contrast setting can get you some cool cel shaded effects when it is set 100. :P
This just happens to be a picture I have handy on my webspace at the moment to demonstrate it.

these parameters are also well explained in the max manual, or, if you lost it, in the help file (just press F1).
