welp, i'm just posting this thread now so i continue posting updates to my WIP and so hopefully i can get some useful feedback that helps me along in the process of this project since animating characters isnt my strong point as far as 3d is concerned.

i'm working on a video for a song that will be shown to open our church services easter sunday. i attend a non-demonitaional church called the vineyard (http://www.vineyardcolumbus.org) in columbus, ohio. it's an awesome church that really focuses on keeping the bible relevent to people's experiences in today's culture. church attendance runs 6500-7000 people each weekend and spikes on easter and christmas (imagine that).

anyway, i'll post an mp3 version of the song for you to check out. i'm working on storyboards and character development right now. my challenge is two-fold. first keeping it simple since i will be the only one working on it and my time frame is about a month, and second making sure the message of the story really shines through.

ok. that's enuff from me for now. i'll post some schtuff sometime shortly so feel free to check back, give me your comments, your help, and your thoughts.

dont you just love small text? so here are my next developments and uploaded information about the project.

1. a sketch (http://www.johnmcneal.com/cgtalk/chloe.jpg) of the girl featured in the animation, whom i've named "chloe".

2. pdf storyboard (http://www.johnmcneal.com/cgtalk/easter_storyboard.pdf) spelling out what i envision happening and some production notes.

3. a very very VERY crude windows media player storyboard (1.3 megs) (http://www.johnmcneal.com/cgtalk/vineyard_storyboard_100k.wmv) sync'd to the soundtrack. should give you an idea what i'm thinking about and the timing. lastly, remember that my sketching skills are lacking. seriously lacking.
