hello out there

I have created 2 Characters and tried to animate them with character studio.
That worked quite good, but now I wanted to paint the texture....
I put moifiers like morpher, skin..and so on on the model and thougth that it would be a good idea to use the nonanimated version (an older file) to texture it. But how can I get now the animation on the textured characters? If I try to copy and paste the modifierstack with the skinmod I get something strange. Cant use the result. And otherwise if I copy/paste the UW coordinates..it would not work. To get the right maping/layoutresults I had to collaps the stack sometimes.

could anyone give me a hint or a example how to get the best workflow?

You need to understand your modifier stack better.

You can still apply UVs to the base model, change material IDs, and so on below your animation modifiers without altering them in any way. Just select the base level and apply your UVWMap mod, or Unrwap mod, or whatever.
