Kind of cool, especially for such small uses as camera phones. Of course, the real revolution will be when a camera's image sensor can mimic the dynamic range of the human eye. Today's high-end optics are quite good. It's what happens after the lens forms the image that is the problem.

hmmm theres a lot more involved here. this is a technology that can be utilised for many different fields. thefact that it can focus in such a small distance is a serious step forward.
