Something i've been working on lately. Finally had the time to finish her up. I'm pretty much done with her. All crits are welcomed, i might make the changes if its worth it.

Oh btw, she was supposed to be for the ut2003 game model competition @3dtotal but i didnt get to finish her. Doesnt that sound familiar? Anyway, she's my first attempt at lowpoly and i'm glad i ironed out certain workflow issues.

1024x1024 for the girl, 512x512 for the weapon.

Some poses of her in action. Pardon the retractable blades, they're for the demons that come too upclose and you dont really have time to switch to the crowbar. :P

Cool. The only things I'd change would be:

[list=1]
Add some contrast to her face texture
Add some contrast to her lower back (To make the muscles more apparent.)

Awesome piece of work!

the work uve done on it is great but i find the concept thoughrly flawed no way is she gonna be doing anything with chunky armour like that on her back would snap in a second! add some sort of back support from the shoulder to the belt, like an adjustable column. really nice model its a shame it looks so implausable :(

Thoroughly flawed like your English? :)

I think she would be able to support herself, and remember this is an Unrealistic game. Characters have this sort of armor in games, comics, movies. It could be light weight with a chrome finish for all we know. The bottom line is, we're not supposed to care about it. If it looks cool, that's that.

And it does look cool :P

I agree she needs more face color and more defined abs imo.

I would separate de metal parts from the fabric parts by some sort of contrast work...

also the face skin seems to be a diferent Hue from the rest of the body.

any ways, it's a really good work! very cool.
I don't really bother as to realism, 'cmon! it's a video game! silluet is more importante than realism, if your chose realism, then no more respawn oy "walk-over-for-instant-healing" kind of medicpacks!

take care!

Dom,
Great work! She looks killer, I like her little horns :)
I would like to see a wireframe of her to see how you managed to only use 2500 polys.

Again, great work!

Hey dom, I think it looks great! Really cool design and the silhouette reads. Great texturing on such a low poly model. Other than that, maybe some more shadows on her arms below the shoulder armour.

Look forward to work with you soon :)

Matt-tks. i'll note down your crits, i've been gettin similiar replies from the other forums.

dudeguy/littleberu-tks a lot!

commy- its really subjective i guess.everyone has a different taste. what i do try is to make it attractive enough to the masses. :)

Tryan- im not for muscular abs really. :P

Kazuya- im working out some colour contrast between the fabric and metal parts. maybe a simple blue/red team concept. as for the face..i'll see what i can do.. at the same time i don wanna dirty it too much. she's gotta look pretty yah?

BigRedDogg- glad u like her. i've posted wires below. and the polycount is 2592..a tad bit over 2500

ShawnYe- my dear friend, tks for your comments. i got the same comment on the shadows beneath her arms while working on an earlier version of the skin. seems like it aint dark enough. tks m8.

Yeah, im looking forward to workin with you too. should be lotsa fun. take care dude.

Miguelito-wires and tex below m8.

Jamo-tks ;)

Big tks once again for all the crits. Keep them coming in , im doing a final consolidation of crits before going through my final round of ammendments. cheers.

As always you've got the mad phat skillz yo.

That stomach cut looks painful. Put some neo-sporin on it girl. I'm serious. You better watch it, it'll get infected if you're not careful.

See? See how lifelike she is? I'm giving her medical advice!

Nice job! You did a great job showing just enough curve to keep her feminine. I like the big hands and feet, she kinda looks like a gladiator woman from a distant future.

Very cool, the only crit that id have is the armor looks so freakin cool and then the skin textures look lower rez than the rest. I know its because of the amount of texture space used for the armor is bigger than that used for the skin. I know that isnt anything that you could fix but thats what caught my eye when i looked at it. Still, one of the best UT chars Ive seen.

I don't think the contrasting skin is a resolution problem (look at that cut, for example). It could use some better shading though. Perhaps some abs (carrying all of that metal would at LEAST get some abs)

If not that, then the contrast is because the metal is all so dark and the skin is very light.

Besides that minor observation, INCREDIBLE job with this. I'm inspired.

MacLeod- tks man.

dimi- i'll haveher wrapped and sent over..without the horns.

Dubu dude- she would love medical advise from you.. :P

SuperVlieg- tks m8.

dtrimble- tks. i did think the love handles need more segments...

beastie- yeah i had a tough time with the skin. the best UT characters are in UT2K4! go get it :)

shbazjinkens- aye. point noted on the skin shadin issue.

Posted a few final poses in the gallery. here's the thread
