CGTalk - Quick AE question

When I import my footage into AE it looks all squashed, and i have to manually drag it out to it's normal resolution. I am working in 720x480 res, is there any way I can set this up so i don't have to manually resize the footage? I've looked through the docs etc.. but I'm not finding what I'm looking for. Adobe's doc's don't seem to be the best :/ any help is appreciated.

This is because the aspect ration of the footage you are working with is one that has rectangular pixels.

There is stage window toogle that accounts for rectangular pixels.
