Hi folks!
I want to work on a space that consists out of 3D graffiti as seen by bek (download demoreel here:
bek.mov (http://www.xdv.org/mmm/bek.mov) )
http://www.xdv.org/mmm/download/piclib/cg_pics/pieza-1.jpg
here is a reference pic

I am only familiar to polymodelling but perhaps it is the better way to model it nurbs, as they are better editable ... and anyhow it seems a good opportunity to learn it.

I am having some troubles with drawing clean curves - as there have no bezier handles I donīt know how to harden certain points.
is this just possible by pushing the CVs in place and adding more edit points.
I am quite familiar to adobe beziers and the question is if maya curves are just another approach and also work fine once familiar to them should I draw complex curves in other apps and import them.

I just find the smooth curve command but nothing to harden single points - is it in the curve editing tool?

so what can u recomend me:
am I just to fresh to curves and I should continue and they will work
are curves in maya always a bit tricky
should I import them (from vektor works f.e.)
or are these shape easier to be modeled as smoothed polys anyhow

You can import curves in eps format from illustrator or something like that if you want.

Try Edit Curves>Curve editing tool...
