Hello everyone, this is an environment that I did as a test for a job. It had to be all out of max, under 25k polies and have dramatic lighting. So, here are a few shots of the "lobby"

Thanks

I'm no expert on modeling interiors(or anything else for that matter), but the first thing that stands out to me, is the fact that the lighting is pure white. Interior lighting is seldom ever pure white, and lighting hues are one of the best ways to make a scene believable. Right now it feels very cg, due to the lighting.

Also, the corners seem very dark, and the falloff of the lights seem abrupt.

I think the scene itself has great potiential, but right now its hard to tell due to lighting.

the small lights look nice, but the large chandeliers are apparently emitting light, but look way too dim, if lit at all... that kinda looks odd to me... plus the light highlights on the wall from the small lights are odd... the highlight is too small if it's illumination... if that's the case, move the light itself away from the walls some... if it's the specular highlight from the wall material, then it should be more close to the color of the light shade, which is a yellowish white, but this starts to get into what pseudoBug has already said... plus, if those large chandeliers are turned on, then they should be casting some rather interesting shadows on the ground...

anyway, hope these crits are helpful

Hey, thanks for the feedback:)

I went over the lighting again. Made the shadows lighter, and gave it more hues, oranges and blues. Also tried to fix the chandeliers. Hope you like this better.
