CGTalk - grain with area-light and final gathering

Hi!
I have a scene with final gathering turned on and an Spotlight turned to area-light, but the shadows, that this arealight casts are grainy (see picture) and I can't find any parameter to get rid of this grain. Can anyone help me?

Up the sampling for the area light.
