This is a character I've been working on for roughly two days now
and I'm struggeling with the textures.
I'd appreciate some pointers on the textures and you can see what I'm going for in the concept.

I've used Poopinmymouth's tutorial alot on this one but I can't get the PSDPathUnwrapper working on my version of max (5.0),
so if you know a way to get it working please let me know.

nice m8, from what I can see atm (without wires) the model is very good allthough your missing the cool hairrestrainer.

The texture

The texture could need some more highlights. The beltstraps seem very blunt and flat. Same goes for the metal beltparts

Her eye seems a bit high up and a bit to far to the left.
She has a very pale skin so the skintone looks fine but Im missing the chain around her neck.

The fur also needs some more highlights.

Actually everything except the skin needs more variation.

Search google for ref pics on leather etc.

Still nice work and could we see some wires to please

Very good. I like it allot. Although, do model the hair peice to complete it.

In terms of textures, it looks like it fits into Kingdom Hearts right now (which I like), but definitely add more highlights and general leather detail like Prs-Phil advised to get that more realistic look.

Go on, add Mog just for fun too.

I think its pretty good. The belts however could be better. Like said before, you need to bring out those light and dark tones.

It also wouldn't hurt to actually model a few of those belts/buckles to really give the impression that they are layered

And make her more sinister :D

Ah, it's Lulu! :D Everything looks good, a little more work on her hair and belt will make it much better. Also, try to maker her less dull. Overall, nice job! ^_^

ok, here's the promised update.
I've added the hairthingies, but I forgot about the necklace so I'll add that for the next update.

I moved her eye (thanx for that phil),
added some more light but I'm having trouble with the belts...
let me know if this is better.

and a couple of wires (pretty big)

btw, I'm only showing the front side because I haven't worked much on the back yet so there's not much to look at.

polycount: 2112

Edit:
Jason: you've seen her before?
Do you know of a website or something where I can get some info on her?

looking pretty pimp man. could tell who it was right away.

I would suggest really working some color into her skin, right now it is pretty flat. see if you can get some reds into the shdows, some blues and greens into highlights. i think i can see a bit of red in the cheecks which is good, but push it further.

her forearms kind of look manly, might want to taper them a bit more.

Looking good man, glad you found the tutorials helpful!
