We are currently looking to fill the following positions:
CG Lighting TDs
Designs and creates lighting and the look of computer generated objects and scenes. Creates images, effects and programs for digitally composited sequences. Responsible for compiling the various elements of a shot and seeing it through to completion. Works with a team on a production to determine various design solutions. Knowledge of applicable software and platforms include Maya, Renderman, UNIX and shell scripting highly desirable. 2-4+ years production experience or feature film experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, photography or computer graphics.
CG Character Animators (Key Frame)
Utilizes traditional methods and computer graphics systems to create desired effects. Responsible for creating the performance of computer graphics characters within a shot. Follow creative direction. Emphasis should be placed on conveying emotion along with motion. Maya and other software packages highly desirable. Maya preferred. 2-5+ years production animation experience, feature film experience highly desirable. Character design, acting experiences a plus.
Matchmovers
Experience with curve-based motion programs such as Kuper Systems, Lynx, RP4, SoftImage, Maya or 3D Studio highly desirable. Experience in special effects production (traditional or CG based). Must be able to visualize in 3D. Related experience in traditional motion control and optical compositing desired but not required.
Effects TDs
Designs the look and production methodology for computer generated FX animation and dynamic simulation of cloth, fur and hair. Designs and creates images, elements, pipelines tools and techniques effects for digital visual effects. Work with a team on a production to determine the various design solutions. Knowledge of applicable software packages including Houdini, Maya and Renderman required. UNIX and scripting ability in relevant languages including MEL, Perl, and Python highly desirable. 3-5+ years production experience or feature film experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or computer graphics.
Shaderwriters
Responsible for the creation of Renderman shaders in a fast-paced digital production environment. Demonstrated ability to create production-ready shaders as part of an overall facility-rendering pipeline. Strong technical skills including software design and implementation combined with a solid understanding of math and physics theories. Strong artistic skills with a proven ability in the creation of cinematic color and lighting on digital productions. 3-5+ years production experience in the creation and application of Renderman shaders for motion picture visual effects. BS in computer science or related discipline.
