I've read how to do this in the documentation somewhere, but now (as always with Maya's documentation), I can't find the stuff I need when I need it.

I want to place a rotation keyframe at multiple frames at the same time. How do I do this?

There is an option for the Set Key command that asks you for a list of frames when you set the key. (I think you get to it by selecting the "box" next to the menu item Animate->Sey Key).
