Great.
The colours of the grass and the sky and how they blent into eachother is just great.
Her shadow is not perfect though.
Her, in the picture more to the left, foot/leg seems to drop no shadow.
Also why would the upper part of the hill behind her be sho dark when the light is coming from in front of her but i think that might be okay.
Maybe add a more diffuse shadow and also rework the form and direction a bit.
Very evocative picture.

wow...beautiful work. Actually i like the way it's behind the charater more darker than front of her. The grass is amazing.

just beautiful :)

Yes it is. But it mixes with the shadow of her, which is not looking correct to me, and thus is disturbing the whole impression a bit.

Spectacular!!! I'm in awe. I'm thinking you new the title before you started (Indian Summer) then painted it? Or did you decide what it was midway, or after? Nevertheless it is truly beautiful. :applause:

You probably have enough admiration and received just enough congratulations, but you can go with one more from me.

I absolutely admire this image, when I first looked at this, I thought, oh, another 3DS Max render with Photoshop retouching. Then, I read your image description. Wow!

I admire your work and your creativity that goes into this digital painting. Yet another stunning masterpiece, hopefully to be added into the CG Choice Gallery.

:applause:

My standing ovation to you!

Absolutely gorgeous! This one definitely makes you want to jump into the picture and stay there for a while. Incredible skill! I bow to you.

To OrcOYoyo: clouds cast shadows, if you need a reason for the shadow on the hill. But really, who cares where the shadow came from - the piece works great this way.

This is absolutely -stunning-

Lack of words really.

You should be extremely proud. I've said it before, but wouldn't it be interesting if the old masters could see work like this. I'm sure they would be stunned as well.

Just wonderful.

Beautiful Work Congrats:)

The only thing crit wise is the left shoulder looks off- a little stiff in the movement perhaps against the contrast of the hair and light movement (maybe something you wanted)

You really have an amazing grasp on light and perspective in this piece- it makes me feel the warmth and beauty of a sun shower right after the sun comes back out- this is perhaps the sun shower spirit manifested;)

I know there's ground and grass, and a sky, but it gives off a feeling of being a different world all together. Almost like the sound would correspond with the way it looks so open and warm. Like if you started plucking away at a guitar, it would carry for miles so softly and it would float around you. I like that a lot, you did a great job. I disagree with an early post about her shadow effecting the sky, I think the sky was intended to get darker as it went to the right, and it seems to look right with the rest of it. It's all about opinion, though. I'm sure we could all agree that it's an excellent picture.

Pedro The Lion influence on the title ?!

Wow.

How the hell did you do this? I've been using Photoshop for 4 years now, and I haven't the foggiest notion how you achieved this sort of look. Especially with the crisp threads...

Could you please post a tutorial about your technique??

Incidentally, there's something about her lips that looks peculiar to me... That upper lip seems to point out in an unnatural way, and the shape of the face could be better described. But, overall, it's a thrilling piece.

Great job!

A terrific piece of work, what I am most impressed by I think is the way that you have made the very realistic weak overcast light work so well in the image against the luminescent contrast of the character.

Terrific job.

I cant express how much i adore this work! Your attention to detail and style has captivated me! I love the swirl of energy around her and how it so seemlessly blends into the world! She reminds me alot of the pheonix from marvel comics, a primal force of such power, yet so majestic and gracious! Well done! Very much looking forward to more of your work!:)
