Thx for the reply, I agree he looks pretty thin. His arms are going to be useless, the bar is going to attatch to his sholders. It's simply a support kinda thing.

So here's an update with the beggining of his harness.

I'd really like to hear some more opinions. :)

ok, here's probably the last update for the day.

I still have to do the head, which will look a bit like jar jar binks with a thicker musel.

Don't they need thumbs? How are they supporting those bar without thumbs to hold them up?

Very Nice - i like how the beasts look dejected and tired

good grief, we going to have another howard day here? Very fast :D

Coming along nice..they definitely look downtrodden..I like the big notches in the wood, too. Cartoony but not.

They have thumbs now, so can hold the bar..only thing I'd ask after that is, is there additional rigging that attaches to it? Right now it kind of seems unnecessary with the ropes that are already on their harnesses..you'd sort of think that lines would also run from there straight back to the cart..does that make any sense?

Are you going for the quickest entry? ;)
I like the twin beast idea, united we stand! :buttrock:
what´s the machine they are carring?

Edin

Thanks for the replies,

The machine is a primative electrical weapon of war that conjures lightning :)

... actually I'm not toataly sure, I connected gears and cogs and pulleys and this is what it ended up looking like. :)

hypercube -

Thanks for your comment, I just noticed how loosly free their hands look. I'll add in some more rigging soon.

Thanks again.

ok I added a few things to the wagon, but I'm running fresh out of ideas.

Got any suggestions? Anything at all?

here's where it's at so far.

Looking very nice, and quickly done too!! I like the BoB's on on that contraption;)

If you're running out of ideas take some time out and look at the other entries. The first thing I thought of was to add a seat to the side of the wagon. A place where the Mad scientist/Wizard/Driver could sit. Oh, and a huge umbrella. Everyone loves Umbrellas :)

Impressively fast. I can't get over that. I'll spend days mulling over a hand or a foot and they never come that clean. This challenge has become a personal goal just to finish. I applaud all you speedy modelers. You amaze me.

wow, you really work fast. And it looks real good.

Keep on going:thumbsup:

I like the seat idea, I'll definetly do it :)

"This challenge has become a personal goal just to finish", I totally agree. If I leave something and say, 'meh, I'll do it later' I usually don't so I figured I'd pump out as much as I could before I lost interest and started something else.

Thanks guys for the encouragement, I'm still wondering what I should add next though.

I might redo the creatures, I'm not totally satisfied with them. :(

So yah, any more suggestions?

Maybe the ropes are there so they can't get away? If they let go of the bar and try to run away, the ropes would stop them.

Just a guess. You may also think about adding some blinders to the animals? The Amish in Pennsylvania all have blinders on their horses so that they have no peripheral vision. I think it's mostly so that the horses don't get spooked by passing cars or other distractions.

Hey ....i like your model but i see your last pic and before
i thought that u will put completely different stuff in it.!!!
In fact i thought that u will put big leather boxes with ropes around them, some swords ,a shield some tools ,...more boxes and that stuff. Personally i felt a little wierd when i saw this machinery that u have now in the wagon...I hope u don't mind.
I am just trying to help.

mmm... cool, you need someone to control the lightening gun. someone to aim it and maybe someone to whip the guys at the front.

I'm using 3dsmax, and I'm thusfar completely self taught. Been doing this for... hmmm.. I don't know exactly how long. It's under a year, but I don't know exactly.

I'm working on a bonhomme(guy), as the master.

I know the machinery is a bit weird but that's what I wanted. :)

Havn't had a second of time for it in the last few days but I'll update soon.

Edin

here's the update.

I'm a bit tired and not truly in the mood to model so I coped out and made the scientist fixing stuff. (this way I didn't have to model the head)

But there is alot of time left in the contest so I plan on finishing the scientist and reposing the BoBs. I'm not totally happy with their posture.

so anyways, without further adue,

as everyone said : you are damn quick:eek: I really like the concept and the machinery in the wagon. I agree with you on the Bob's pose tho. To me it seems like the upper part of the body is more leaning on then pulling that front bar.

keep it up:beer:
