Yes I realise ive just posted another topic and figure out the problem in under 5 minutes :) but ive been trying to figure this problem out for a while now with no luck.

As in my other thread ive got 100 tga images in the timeline. The way im importing them is i am importing a folder and dragging that folder onto the timeline. The file are numbered from 01 - 100.

However, when I drag it on, number 100 is first and 01 is last so basically my series of images runs backwards.

Now i cant find a way to reverse this. Ive tried rendering my movie backwards (the hope was Maya would render 100 as 1 and 1 as 100) but it didnt so the problem remains.

Ive tried finding one of my lectures to ask with no luck and ive searced the help files.

Anyone know how I can reverse the order? So i can get my series of images to play forwards.

Cheers

Batch rename your sequence to three, four digits, like 001, 002, 003 and so on, it's the easiest thing to be done, also before render anything ajust your frame padding correctly or you will have problems like that.

As for the Premiere side odf things I can't help you since I don't use it for years now.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Ive tried 'Frame padding' in Maya when rending. However it wont let me pad it by anything more than one '0'. It wont let me pad it by say 00 or 0001. So that hasnt helped.

How can I batch rename all my files to add a 0. Also I dont see how that helps. At the moment my files are named like this:

01
09
10
19
20
29
etc etc

so surely shouldnt Premiere read the 01 first and count up to 100 ? I thought it should. But instead it counts downwards.

How did you render your files from Maya?

name.#.ext
name.ext.#
name.#
name#.ext

Look in the render globals again, You can pad it by as much as you want. Look for "Frame Padding". Its the 7th field down under "Common" in the render globals.

Yeah thats what I am trying to use Beaker. However whenever I type more than one '0' in the box, it always defaults back to a singular '0' :(

Im using name.#.ext Tuqui

Maybe your maya prefs are corrupt or something like that. Try moving them out of your home directory and let maya recreate them.

Okay, I wont have access to a compositing program this weekend. But bring you sequence into your comp app (Im guessing AE?) and see if it gives you the same problem there too.

Let us know...
