View Full Version : Alpha channels in Adobe Preimere
Seven 03-03-2004, 06:32 PM Hey
Ive got 100 images that I have imported into Premiere onto the timeline. They are all tga's.
Now to alpha channel it, click on the file, Video options - transparency and alpha channel.
That method works for one image/file in the timeline but how can I do that for 100 images in the timeline all at once ? There must be a better way than doing each one by hand. Surely there is an automatic way for aplying it to a whole video track ?
Cheers

Ok stupid me ive figure it out.. I was right clicking and completely forgot about the long row of letters at the top of the screen :)
Guess I'm still on the suptid side  I'm facing the exact same problem but I dont see any long row of letters on the top of the screen... or anywhere for that matter.
Care to enlight me on this one?
Thanks in advance,

Yeah sure, if you want to apply the alpha transparency to a large number of images or movies in a timeline. Select the first image or movie, go to the end of the timeline and shift select the last one. Ok now they are all selected.
If I was just doing a single image, the way I normally work is to right click on the image in the timeline, go to Video options and Transparency. However if you do this when mulitple images are selected, when you right click every image will deselect except the one you have right clicked on.
So go back and select all the images, and instead of right clicking go to the tool bar at the top (at present I really cant think of its proper name :) ), File, Edit, Project, Clip, Timeline, Window and Help.
Click on Clip and youve got the exact same menu as if you had right clicked. So go to Video options and you are away. It will apply it to all that is selected.
Thanks alot, didn't know that the clip menu on the tool bar add that option.
Thanks again,
Zmei
