mhunt 03-03-2004, 02:45 AM Hello
These are some images of my drawing and coloring, I'm practicing with the cel shaded look and would like your coments. It's for my comic book project.
Thank you

Hi
hope you don't mind me insisting, I really would like to have osme coments about my coloring, I used anime movies like Bublegum Crisis 2040, Witch Hunter Robin and color comics like Ninja High School and Shidima as learning tools.
Let me know what you think:D
thanks

Its a little too sharp at times... maybe making the outlines thicker and darker or using more subtle colours would help. Its just too bright.

Thank you for the coments Piata.
I'm still experimenting with this way of coloring, some new comics like Street Fighter and Maximo are using a similar cel-shaded aproach, some a little brigther than others but better than my current result.
Will post mre work soon, hope to get more coments.
Thank you

one thing i really loved about Shidima and most of Dreamwave's stuff was the really-really-really subtle colors with intense lighting. it provided a lot of depth. what you have here is intense color with subtle lighting, which provides a lot of... eyestrain :p
the shading is really nice on the police officers, but overall, the images are very flat. i guess that's fine if you're going for a retro comic style, but i think your work would be a lot more presentable with subdued hues.
