Hi Mike - just an opinion, but the showreel seems to get better as it goes on; I almost didn't wait after the first minute, and was about to skip on - which is what a potential employer might do! It might be wise to put the high impact stuff near the beginning.
I know how time consuming these things are though, especially when there's real work to be done! So congrats on getting this far...

Hey Mike.
There's some really nice work in there.
No really heavy crits, just the order in which things play out could be different. The music is fitting for the edits that you have, but 3D isn't fitting to truly show off your work...
But. 9/10... Nice work, really.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier about this mike, but I had to rush off for work. Just watched it now and I loved it!
My favourite part was the motorbike being assembled up from parts, outstanding modelling imo.
no crits from me

I'm going to tell you what I was told a few years ago.
Cut it down till it hurts! Be harsh on yourself (if that fails, get someone else to do it for you), only show your absolutely best work, and do it quickly. If your focus is on 2d, then showcase those with your #1 priority, then 3d mixed with 2d, then 3d.
Think of someone looking through 50 of these reels, how long is he/she going to spend on each? Not long at all. Even if someone cannot sit still for 2 minutes and ends up skipping around, make sure their is something impressive in each of the 2 minutes.
I like your rotating 3d models, because I like 3d, but it isn't nearly as exciting or energetic as the rest starting at about 55 seconds.
Stylistically, I like the quiet, smooth intro. Keep that quiet part down to 5 seconds tops. But that slow part, especially the "matrix" style shot at the intro, would be a great way to end such a high tempo piece.
And always make sure all contact info, even a phone #, is visible. This the arguably the most important part (the other being your work itself). If possible, have a URL like slouchcorp.com and an email pointing there: slouch@slouchcorp.com or whatever you want. It looks very professional compared to hotmail.
Great work. Just edit it so an overworked creative director doesn't even have time to think about skipping anything!

It's a nice collection of work. I pretty much second everything that's been said so far so I won't bore you by saying it over again.

no experience of showreels...
on first bit it goes from grey alien to car...to courtyard...to alien brain.
i would go...grey alien...alien brain...car...courtyard.
when you spin the models on stand...i would also show wires..kinda like the excellent bit of the bike...the audi you could exploit with a wire also i guess.
got some cracking stuff mixed up in there bud...nice work.
