View Full Version : probs with bind pose
anthonymcgrath 07-03-2002, 07:46 PM hey everyone and anyone! can anyone tell me how to remove a bind pose off a skeleton that I've detached from a skin?!! The skeleton is under a group node (which I use to reset the root joint xyz rotation to zero) but I click on the joints beneath that and I've got a bindpose node attached to all the joints.
I've thought about going into the hypergraph and expanding the up and downstream connections and removing it that way. Is this wise?
If anyone can back to me on this one asap they win a cookie.
cheers ppl

its no good if my skeleton is detached from my model! When I re-attach, maya just creates a new bindpose1 node.
I'm aware its very handy and an important part of the skel setup but only if I've got the skeleton bound to something!
I'm thinking It may be a buglette or something because it should remove the bindpose from the skeleton once I detach the skin (assuming I've got the delete history option switched on in the detach skin options) ...shouldn't it?
