After watching one of the XSI vids posted on another thread I decided to have a quick go at a simlar legs setup.

AutofootCurl (http://www.cganimator.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tests/AutoCurllegSetup.rar)

I hope this is useful for someone, Im thinking about adding an automatic heel lift when the hips move forward as well.

This may not be the best way to do it, so any comments improvements just fire away.

Nice ...Really nice!

Are you the Carl davis that wrote a tutorial inthe first messiah manual -- the tennis shoe?

Thanks I tweaked it a bit more since then, but still playing, I will put another version up tomorrow.

If you use the slider in the negative range you can easily add a bit of overshoot for when the foot is coming down to land for a walk cycle.

Julez, Na I never did the shoe tutorial, I was still a begineer when that was done, I did do teh scary baby that came on the original cd and the Charlie setup on the new cd.

chikega, Have you managed to open the rar, yet.

Carl, I also was looking at some XSI vids and did a similar one to what I saw in the videos.. but I cant get to it right now.. I backed it up on my portable HD to take home since I leave london in 2 days..
I'll post it here when I get back to the states :)

which XSI video was that by chance.
The cat rig is nice but it was demonstarting after the setup was complete and what all it could do rather than how.

It was the cat one that made me have a go, Ive done quite a lot with foot setups so it didnt take to much to add the same features. If I had the time I could apply it to a whole body. I kind of did it once before. When you moved the feet the body would balance itself, I also had a slider so i could change the direction of balance and the amount. I will have to see if i can find the rig.
