CGTalk - himalayas in 3d

hi:

i have to make the himalayas but i dont want to speculate with the shape so i was wondering where to get an actual model of this.

i saw some people use maps like in terragen and then import in dreamscape.

the problem is where to find this himalayas map.

any idea?

I'm not here to offer any help, just a suggestion that in future you shouldn't create several threads on the same topic. If everyone were to create a thread to model a chair, then a new thread to texture a chair, then a new thread to light and render a chair... you see my point? Create one thread for your mountains project and ask all of your questions relating to it in the same thread.
