Newbie question here. I have a problem with joints being extremely large when I place them. So much so that I it makes it impossible to rig a character as it is. I'm sure there is a way to scale them down in size but for the life of me I cannot find it.

click Display -> Joint Size -> 25% (or whichever size you prefer.)

Do the same for IK Handles.

look under the display menu. Joint size should be near the bottom of this menu.
